Anteayer me dí una vuelta por el centro comercial Plaza Américas (ya saben, me tocaba pagar) y como en automático noté los nuevos escaparates de la tienda Sears mismo que neta, no me gustaron para nada: hacen referencia al color y los mismos estan en una tonalidad que mas que vivos, se ven opacos y tristes. Después de que se diría que Elsa Benitez sería la imagen de la nueva campaña de una “tienda departamental” me topo que será precisamente la de esta tienda, la de Sears.
Si creo y espero que con su imagen reviva un poco más la imagen, no tan solo de los escaparates sino de la tienda entera.

Hallan ofrendas asociadas a Tlaltecuhtli.

El INAH halló nueve ofrendas en torno al monolito de la diosa Tlaltecuhtli en las excavaciones que se realizan por el Proyecto Templo Mayor en el Centro Histórico. Lo mejor de los Oscares.

Sin ser desde luego ningún experto en cine y sin que mi opinión vaya a cambiar en nada el rumbo de las próximas transmiciones de las entregas de los Oscares a lo mejor de la cinematografía, me atrevo a decir que de todas las ediciones que he visto, esta es la que más flojera me dió: No hubo nada que atrapara mi atención salvo por 4 cosas sumamente rescatables y que fué lo mejor del evento a mi gusto:

1.- La premiación a Javier Bardem como mejor actor de soporte el cual creo es muy merecido y quien además nos representó en el mundo hispano.

2.- El saber que existe una mujer tan hermosa y talentosa como Marion Cotillard, quien ganó como mejor actriz ( ¡ tengo que verla en "La vie en Rose" ! ).

3.- ¿ Es de este planeta Heidi Klum? Es como de ensueño ¡ woW !

4.- El pinche listón de peliculas que me faltan de ver y que algunas aún, no han llegado a México...

1978 cuando trabajadores de Luz y Fuerza del Centro realizaban excavaciones en
la esquina que forman actualmente las calles de Argentina y Guatemala, en el
Centro Histórico.

Los trabajadores detuvieron la obra y esperaron
hasta el día siguiente. Cuando los especialistas la descubrieron yacía de pie de
la escalinata del Templo Mayor. Su hallazgo marcó el inicio del proyecto
arqueológico en la zona.

Fue colocada entre 1469 y 1481 depués de
Cristo, al pie de lo que fuera el adoratorio de Huitzilopochtli, el hermano
solar que la derrocó.

Hoy 21 de febrero se celebra un aniversario más del hallazgo de la impresionante Coyolxauhqui y no pude evitar transcribir el anterior párrafo que señala como de manera accidental esta fue encontrada. No cabe duda que la actual Ciudad de México se ha erigido sobre antiguas construcciones intactas que vivas están aún y que no dejan de sorprender de lo y rico y grandioso de nuestros antepasados.

Este día fué muy especial por tan diversas y quizás tan triviales razones que para cerrarlo en una forma espectacular se dió además este fenómeno maravilloso el cual dicen los expertos no lo volveremos a ver hasta dentro de 2 años (...si, estaré más viejo). La luná que se déja ver con ese resplandor tan intenso después de este eclipse es también..., espectacular.

Vantage Point.

Cuando mucha gente desea visitar y conocer la hermosa Ciudad de México, Dennis Quaid protagosnista de la película “Vantage Point” no estaba muy convencido de hacerlo cuando se le comentó que debían venir a grabar aquì ya que la percepción que tiene (del país entero), es de violento. ¿Qué papayòn no? como si las grandes ciudades de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica (y del mundo entero) fueran muy seguras.

Pero en fin, lo relevante es que dicha película fue rodada en La Ciudad de México, en locaciones como Santa Fe y el Centro Histórico en un lapso de 12 semanas, tiempo en el que el actor estuvo en México. Dicha filiación aquì en Mèxico según el periódico “reforma”, fuè debido a las dificultades para encontrar un lugar similar a la Plaza Mayor de Salamanca, en España.

“Vantage Point” narra la historia de cómo asesinan al Presidente de los Estados Unidos en aquella plaza española, aunque todo fue filmado en México” cita el periódico.

Creo la película es muy recomendable y ademàs de su historia que parece interesante (y de repente trillada) cuenta con las actuaciones de mis ídolos Sigourney Weaver y Forest Whitaker.

Asì que, cuando vayan a ver la película chequen el dato para que reconozcan algunos puntos interesantes de la ciudad desde el 29 de febrero, fecha en que esta programada su estreno acà.

Velafrons Coahuilensis.

Fue descubierto en México un Hadrosaurio crestado, el cual permitirá conocer mas de la fauna que existía hacia el sur de una península llamada La Ramidia, que no es otra cosa que el oeste de Norteamérica.

El hallazgo fue realizado por investigadores mexicanos en colaboración con canadienses y estadounidenses y el financiamiento de la National Geographic y la Universidad de UTAH.

Llamado por los especialistas Velafrons Coahuilensis, la nueva criatura fue un gran herbívoro que perteneció al grupo de los dinosaurios pico de pato o hadrosaurios, señala el estudio publicado en la revista Journal of Vertebrate Palenteology.

Velafrons es una combinación de latín y español que significa “frente de vela” en referencia ala forma del cráneo que semeja una vela de barco.

Los huesos fueron encontrados en Rincón Colorado, Municipio de General Cepeda, en Coahuila; durante 13 años un equipo de excavación trabajó en la extracción del ejemplar y su limpieza.

La semana pasada estuve en casa de mi madre y aunque esta por demás decir lo bien que me siento estando con ella y precisamente allí, en esa casa, siento como regresar al hogar que me espera despues de haber estado fuera de el desde mucho y en el que ya no puedo estar del todo. Allí nunca me falta nada aunque..., quizás si: me falta más tiempo.

En esta ocasión ayudando un poco a limpiar el patio, y ya para terminar casi al caer la noche me percaté de que había una última mandarina en el árbol aquel del que como comentaba en otra ocasión, quizás nadie se percata. Una mandarina de un color maravillosos y de un sabor mejor. Muy buena cosecha!

Algo la intimidó porque nunca dejó que la enfocara para captar lo padre que se veia.
