El INAH halló nueve ofrendas en torno al monolito de la diosa Tlaltecuhtli en las excavaciones que se realizan por el Proyecto Templo Mayor en el Centro Histórico. Y pues no me canso de decir que es increible que a estas alturas se sigan descubriendo cosas sorprendiéndonos y muchas más continuen bajo la ciudad. Shingón.

"La de los cascabeles en la mejilla” fue allada el 21 de febrero de
1978 cuando trabajadores de Luz y Fuerza del Centro realizaban excavaciones en
la esquina que forman actualmente las calles de Argentina y Guatemala, en el
Centro Histórico.
Los trabajadores detuvieron la obra y esperaron
hasta el día siguiente. Cuando los especialistas la descubrieron yacía de pie de
la escalinata del Templo Mayor. Su hallazgo marcó el inicio del proyecto
arqueológico en la zona.
Fue colocada entre 1469 y 1481 depués de
Cristo, al pie de lo que fuera el adoratorio de Huitzilopochtli, el hermano
solar que la derrocó.
